Please could you provide me with all information relating to the agreement between Holcim (formerly Aggregate Industries) and Devon Highways around approved routes for access to Stoneycombe Quarry, TQ12 5LL?
All relevant information, which confirms access routes in relation to Stoneycombe Quarry, including use of Gropers Lane, can be found in the Review of Old Minerals
Permission (ROMP) planning documentation at the link here: Planning Register.
For ROMP applications, the authority is unable to refuse the development but can consider whether the former conditions were sufficient or needed updating to ensure
the site operates safely and minimising impact. Please note the planning portal link includes the Committee Report, Decision Notice, consultee responses and highway officer response and other documentation including the applicant’s Transport Statement, which would have considered the suitability of use of Gropers Lane. The Transport Statement states that, “The main access route to the quarry is from the east via the A380 and then Bickley Road. However, due to the height restrictions on Bickley and Maddacombe Road articulated lorries access the site via the A381, Gropers Lane and Bickley Road, as do any deliveries to the South Hams area”.
