Could you please confirm the number of complaints received by Devon County Council relating to road defects on the Forges Cross to Cullompton road. The stretch of road is – Cullompton, Forges Cross to Cullompton.
Compliance with this request would exceed the appropriate cost limit under Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 which is £450 or 18 hours of officer time. We don’t record complaints against specific roads, but rather against the specific team involved in the work complained about. We would therefore need to read all highways related complaints received in the 1 year period (20/11/23 to 20/11/24) n order to ascertain whether they referred to that stretch of road. A conservative estimate is that there would be 780 complaints to review. At 5 minutes each, this would take in excess of 65 hours to complete and therefore it is not information we would readily be able to provide.
