Flood Risk Information, Mole Avon Country Store, Crediton

We require the following information in support of our Flood Risk Assessment Report (FRA) for Mole Avon Country Store, Crediton.
1. Any information for any main rivers + ordinary watercourses (Drains , Ditches , Reens etc) within the vicinity of the site in the 1 in 100 , 1in 100 + CC , 1 in 1000 and 1 in 1000 + CC events.

Much of this data is publicly available at the following link Check the long term flood risk for an area in England or by contacting the Environment Agency and South West Water.

We believe that the drainage system to the south is not an ordinary watercourse which is highlighted in the picture at the following link Map. This is a surface water drainage swale from the Tesco development – 09/00244/MOUT with Mole Avon drainage arrangement available from Mid Devon District Council under reference 14/02044/MFUL.

There is no data or information held on the ordinary watercourse to the east of the site.

2. Any historic flooding events that have occurred at or within the immediate vicinity of the site.

Environment Agency records show the site flooding in winter 1960 and spring 1966. Further information should be sought direct from them.

3. Information regarding groundwater flooding at or within the vicinity of the site.

4. Information Regarding surface water flooding at or within the vicinity of the site.

None that we know of.

The site in question is not believed to have been the subject of any Section 19 flood investigation however, these are all publicly available on our website.
