1. Any information regarding ground conditions at the site (Soil Conditions , bedrock formation and superficial deposit formation + Borehole data).
We do not hold any specific information for this site on soil and ground conditions.
2. Any historic flooding events that have occurred at or within the immediate vicinity of the site.
We do not have any record of flooding events on this site. The nearest flood event that we have recorded is a property on the eastern end of Pixon Lane in 2019 which flooded due to surface water.
3. Information regarding groundwater / groundwater vulnerability at or within the vicinity of the site.
We do not hold specific mapping for ground water vulnerability for this site.
4. Any formal / informal defences located at or within the immediate vicinity of the site.
We do not have any assets registered in the immediate vicinity of the site. For information on flood defences from the Main River adjacent to the site you should contact the Environment Agency using information found at the following link Environment Agency.
5. Information on any artificial sources of flooding which may impact the site.
A South West Water (SWW) sewer is mapped as running through the site. However, we have no record that this has ever caused any flooding. You should contact SWW for more detail on any sewer flooding in the area, using information found at the following link South West Water.
6. Any flood alleviation schemes that have been undertaken/ proposed at or within the Catchment.
Devon County Council (DCC) Flood Risk Management Team hasn’t delivered any flood alleviation schemes in this catchment. DCC has contributed to some West Devon Borough Council flood schemes including at Butchers Park Hill, Church Lea, Mary Tavy. Please contact the Environment Agency, using the link at question 4, for information about any past or proposed schemes on the Main River.
7. Any information regarding Surface Water flooding at/or within the vicinity of the site.
