I am asking for sight of the Equality Impact Assessment or it’s equivalent underpinning how Devon County Council considered and evaluated any disproportionate approach on people with disability using transport to and from hospital particularly where a problem arises.
Devon County Council (DCC) does not hold an Equality Impact Assessment or equivalent on how DCC considers any disproportionate approach on people with disability using transport to or from hospital. DCC staff apply nationally set eligibility guidelines on behalf of the NHS, which may have had an Equality Impact Assessment completed by NHS England when they were published, in 2022, but DCC does not own that document. In relation to where a problem arises with any single employee’s approach to how our services are delivered, these would be addressed via either the Complaint Procedure or Human Resource policies and procedures.
