Employability support services

Please provide:

1. Amount of funds (in £) spent in the financial year 2021/2022 on employability support services for young people (aged 16-24) with a learning disability and/or autism.

In respect of the services provided by Economy, Learn Devon there are a number of offers made available to support employability support services for young people (aged 16-24) with a learning disability and/or autism in the 2021/2022 year. The offer made is open to all with a self-declared disability with a lower age limit of 19. This includes access to English, Maths support and qualifications together with an innovative programme – Ability not Disability jointly funded by the Council and using funding from The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and  Communities.

For the latter programme, approximately 44% of the learners who engaged were in the age range. This equates to approximately £31,470 of funding for the year in question

2. The names of the top four providers of employability support services for young people (aged 16-24) with a learning disability and/or autism by funding received in the financial year 2021/2022.

Devon County Council does not procure further services for this, although there is work across partnerships supported by the Department for Work and Pensions. We therefore do not hold this information.
