This is a request about home education teams. For the avoidance of doubt, I am asking for information about any staff whose main role is to support or monitor the use of elective home education for the authority
I would like to request the following information
1. How many people on average did the LA employ in its home education team during each of the last 10 full financial years. If you do not have an average, a snapshot figure for a point in the year is acceptable.
Please note, the EHE team only came back into Devon County Council from August 2022 so we only hold information for the financial years below:
2022/23 6
2023/24 6
The numbers above are taken as a snapshot at the end of each financial year for the number of EHE Staff (where there is EHE or Elective Home Education in the job title, as there is not a specific team).
2. How much did the council spend on its home education teams and wider work to support and monitor the use of elective home education in each of the last 10 financial years.
As with question 1, the EHE team only came back into Devon County Council from August 2022 so we only hold information for the financial years below:
Spend for 2022/23 £165,000
Spend for 2023/24 £336,230
