Devon County Council believes compliance with this request would exceed the appropriate cost limit under Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 which is £450 or 18 hours of officer time. This is because the question does not apply solely to the SEN 0-25 team. It relates to many additional teams, all of which may or may not have had contact with SEND students. For example, some of the staff in one of the social workers team, may have had contact with a SEND student, but in order to search and ascertain this information, we would need to check the case file of every single child they had worked with in the last 4 years. This type of check would need to be done across 100’s of members of staff, checking 1000’s of files.
