Highway drainage gullies are inspected and cleaned as part of a cyclic programme.

Drainage pipes leading from gullies are not routinely cleaned. Any problems identified from the inspections or public reports are prioritised for investigation and treatment.
Priority will be given to issues that meet our safety defect criteria as specified in our Highway Safety Policy
