Since 2022 the council has issued 1395 consults to special schools for 960 children (multiple consults maybe sent for the same child)

We are unable to determine the exact nature of each placement as to whether this was deferred and to complete this would take a significant length of time (523 placements would need to be checked individually at 10 minutes each this would be 87 hours). Compliance with this request would therefore exceed the appropriate cost limit under Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 which is £450 or 18 hours of officer time. Under the Act, there is a duty to provide advice and assistance as to how a request can be refined to fit within the appropriate limit. Unfortunately this is not possible for this request.
