Up to the present day, what have been the council’s costs regarding implementation of the Care Act?
Please provide information broken down annually, starting in 2013/14 to the present day. I appreciate there may be constraints within the context of the Freedom of Information Act but where possible state:
a) The relevant project or strand of the Care Act (e.g. work on assessing and shaping the local care market) and
b) Type of expenditure (e.g. event to engage with local providers).
Devon County Council (DCC) have not separately recorded the costs of implementing the Care Act on an ongoing basis; we therefore do not hold the information you are requesting.
We can confirm the following information:
In 2014 -2015 financial year, DCC received a Care Act Implementation Grant from central government of £125,000.
In 2015 – 2016 financial year DCC received a Care Act Implementation Grant from central government of £5,843,000.
The 2015/- 2016 grant was broken down as below:
