I’m looking for any information relating to Calvesford Road in Great Torrington, (B3232).
Could you please supply me with details of any Consultations that have taken place to do with Road Safety, specifically on Calvesford Road, also any recommendations made and those that have been implemented. Also any traffic concerns raised with the Police regarding traffic safety on the same Road.
There is no record of any road safety speed-related complaints or actions in relation to the B3232 Calvesford Road, and a review of our collisions database indicates there have been no speed-related collisions recorded between 01/01/17 and 31/12/21.
The County Council has recently been consulted by Torridge District Council upon a planning application for a development on Calvesford Road.

The Highways Department’s response recommended that permission be refused on the grounds of the development not being able to provide adequate visibility to offer a safe and suitable access onto the highway, which would create an unacceptable impact on highway safety.
