I understand you have adult and children’s services currently being staffed by agency
Can you be specific to the amount spent with agency for these care packages including adult and children’s services within complex care, domiciliary and homecare support living being funded by the council.
Can you break this into two categories please for CQC accredited agencies being used and those not and being used by the council nevertheless.
Please can you review these numbers from January 2025 to date.

We wouldn’t use unaccredited agencies.
Adults – CQC regulated services where agency has been used.

Devon County Council Adults directly provided services DO NOT use any agency in any of its unregulated services.
CHILDREN’S SERVICES
For the period 1st January 2025 – 30th June 2025, for Children In Care, £2,793,299 was spent on agency costs to support placements. We do not hold the information regarding the split between CQC and non-CQC accreditation.
