Devon County Council believes compliance with this request would exceed the appropriate costs limit under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 which is £450 or 18 hours of officer time. We have checked our records and we have found that there are 754 complaints that involve or may involve resident to resident harm in residential care settings logged for the period
01/01/2018 to 31/12/2021. Our system does not capture the level of detail requested and in order to be able to gather this information, each of the 754 records would have to be manually checked. This would take a minimum of 10 minutes per record, equating to a time in excess of 125 hours.
