Homecare package rates and changes

1. We require the following hourly charge rates for all homecare packages of care that you commission (Not each individual package but in aggregate for each identified segment). We require the figures set out in the following way:-

* Average hourly charge rates
* Lowest hourly charge rates
* Highest hourly charge rates

2. The rates above are required for the following home care provision settings:-

* Domiciliary care packages – as detailed above

* Complex care packages – split into adults and children – We do not categorise complex care packages for Adults and we do not have a standard rate, therefore this information is not held.

* Live in care packages – We do not categorise live in packages for Adults, and we do not have a standard rate, therefore this information is not held.

* Learning Disability packages – as detailed above

3. Also required are the total number of clients you commission for all home care packages for the following categories :-

* Children

This information is held however, not in a manner that can be easily extracted from our systems.  We would have undertake a manual review of each case record.  We estimate that to carry out this exercise per individual case record would take 10 minutes to complete and this would be for over 1600 case records.  Therefore to conclude this exercise would take approximately 267 hours to complete.

Under the Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004 public authorities are not obliged to comply with requests which exceed the cost limit of £450 (equating to 18 hours of time).  For this reason we believe that Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act applies (cost of compliance exceeds the appropriate limits).
