3. How many parents or carers of the children and young people recorded as EHE on March 29, 2021 has the council requested to meet (virtually or physically) in relation to the home education of the child or young person in question (if meetings with the same parent(s)/carer(s) have been requested on separate occasions for different children under their care, or a meeting has been requested to discuss the EHE of multiple children simultaneously, please count these separately i.e. count each child for which a meeting has been requested)?

1,714 EHE cases registered on 29th March and as part of the registration process an offer of a visit is made.

a) Of the meetings requested, how many have been accepted by parents/carers?

Those with concerns would be prioritised for visits.  However, we do not have the data on how many visits are requested.

This information is retained within the individual case files and we estimate that it would take greater than the 18 hours that the Council is obliged to spend answering a freedom of information request to provide a response to this question.  As such, we consider that Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (cost of compliance exceeds the appropriate limits) applies.

b) Of those requested, how many have been refused by parents/carers?

Refer to our response in question 3a above

c) Of those accepted, how many meetings have been carried out?

Refer to our response in question 3a above

4. Of the number of children and young people recorded as EHE on March 29, 2021:
