This is a request about highways inspections of New Bridge Street and Fore Street in Exeter City Centre.
1) Please can you tell me when the last two inspections were made of the road condition?
The two most recent inspections of the carriageway were 16 July 2024 and 30 January 2025.
2) What defects were found?
3) What work, if any was carried out and when was the work done?
In response to questions 2 and 3, please see the defect reports for and Fore Street (16 July 2024), Fore Street (1 February 2025) and New Bridge Street (16 July 2024), New Bridge Street (1 February 2025), dated from 16 July 2024 to 1 February 2025.
Some of the information in the defect reports has been greyed out, this information is exempt from disclosure under Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (Personal Data).
Devon County Council can confirm the requested information is held; however, the Council cannot disclose personal information if releasing it would contravene any of the provisions in the Data Protection Act 2018. In this instance release of this information would contravene the first data protection principle and therefore the information is withheld.
4) Also when is the next scheduled inspection due to be carried out?
The next inspection will be in 6 months time, which can be up to 15 days over the due date, or at any time before the due date.
