In the current Devon County Council (DCC) bus consultation, covering the Heavitree and Pinhoe Road corridors, it states that electronic signage will be used to encourage drivers to use alternative routes when the corridors are busy. Given the Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) has closed off many routes to through traffic, please can you list which roads you are suggesting should be used if either the Heavitree Road/Pinhoe Road corridors are busy?
As set out in a previous request for information (response here), the Variable Messaging Signs would be used to provide information on the network to assist people in selecting an appropriate route or alternative mode to their destination. The specifics of messaging have not been finalised and would depend on specific circumstances – this includes which alternative routes might be suggested, should Heavitree Road or Pinhoe Road be busy.
