Pathfield School SEND/SEMH provision

Devon County Council (DCC) has no information regarding the change, as referenced on the webpage, Get Information about Schools – Pathfield School.

2. Who removed the Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) provision for Pathfield/Pathways and on what date was it removed?

The provision of SEMH provision at Pathfield/Pathways has not been removed. Proposals are aligned to a statutory consultation to reduce the capacity of Pathfield Special School.

3. Was an official due process followed in the removal of the SEMH provision?

4. Who is legally and dutifully responsible for ensuring the correct and proper running of a school with regard to its provisions, especially with regard to its offsite SEMH provision?

The school governing body are responsible for any provision listed as part of Pathfield. Ofsted monitor this under their inspection and safeguarding frameworks. The Local Authority are required to have an oversight as a maintained special school.
