Please advise the amounts Stagecoach has received in subsidies from Devon County Council for the provision/support of bus services in the Exeter area between 2019 and 2023.
Payments relating to the Stagecoach lettered supported services operating in Exeter City are as follows for listed financial years (April – March):
2019/20: £586,865
2020/21: £585,705
2021/22: £478,999
2022/23: £303,082
2023/24: £498,429 (this figure is an estimate)
In relation to the above subsidies on what basis were these payments awarded.
Contracts are awarded in two ways:
1) On a closed tender basis via Devon County Council’s Dynamic Purchasing System for the Provision of Passenger Transport.
2) Using the De-Minimus rules as set out in the Service Subsidy Agreements (Tendering) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 which is part of the 1985 Transport Act (as amended by the 2000 Transport Act.)
