Devon County Council does not hold this information.  This is because our Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and other alternative provision (AP) are not run by the local authority.

b) What is the average funding PRUs/AP receive per pupil in your area?

Per Pupil rate Alternative Provision (AP Contract): Place funding £10,000 – top up £12,996, therefore total cost £22,996

Whilst Alternative Provision (AP Other): Average of £16,171 per pupil

c) How many permanent exclusions were there in your local authority area in the following academic years: 2018-19, 2021-22, and 2022-23?

d) How many students are waiting for PRU/AP places currently in your area?

35 students are on the waiting list to be ‘on roll’ at our commissioned AP provision (Pupil Referral Units).  All of these students are currently receiving an alternative education package.
