I note in the recent Kingsteignton Town Council newsletter that a consultation meeting is to be held regarding proposed road works at the junction of Broadway Road / Tweenways. No date was given please advise and where it will be held.
Representatives of Development Management met with Councillor Peart early last month to discuss initial proposals to improve the safety at the junction of Tweenaways with Broadway Road. Councillor Peart was broadly content with the proposals to improve the existing situation, although both the Councillor and the Highway Authority would like to hear feedback from the community prior to making a full decision for the developer to implement the changes. Therefore, we are arranging a date in January to display the proposals at the Kingsteignton Town Council Offices for residents to attend if they have an interest in the scheme. Currently the revised scheme is being drawn up formally by Devon County Council’s Engineering Design Group. Once this has been completed details will be shared with the community through the consultation event, expected to be in early January. Exact dates of the event will depend on when the formal drawings are received and room availability at the Town Council Offices. The date and time will be advertised once we know more.
