Please supply copies of all the recorded information you hold concerning the sanctions agreed by Devon County Council Standards Committee in relation to item 39 in the minutes which record the proceedings of this committee on 16 March 2023 as per the item details published at https://democracy.devon.gov.uk/mgAi.aspx?ID=34039.
For the avoidance of doubt I expect this to include information related to:
* the formal apology that the subject member was required to issue to Devon County Council as a result of this resolution
The formal apology was issued to the Monitoring Officer (MO).
* the relevant training arranged and/or provided to the subject member as a result of this resolution
The subject member attended training on 19th April on the Code of Conduct which included specific information on declarations of interests. The training slides are provided here.
* the changes made to the subject member’s register of interests as a result of this resolution.
The list of changes made to interests is provided here. The MO is satisfied that the interest register reflects the Member’s current circumstances.
Please also supply copies of all the recorded information you hold concerning the decision not to publish the minutes of this meeting until 9 May 2023, nearly eight weeks after it took place.
These minutes had to be published in time for the Council AGM, which they were. There are no records of a decision to not publish the minutes.
Some information has been redacted in grey. This is because we consider this information is exempt under Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act (Personal Data). Devon County Council are not obliged to provide information that is the personal information of another person if releasing it would contravene any of the provisions in the Data Protection Act 2018. In this instance we believe that the release of this information would contravene the first data protection principle and therefore Section 40(2) is applied.
