Please can you supply information as follows about Adoption Support Services which you deliver or procure:
1. Between 1st April 2022 and 31st March 2023 how many self-employed providers have you procured adoption support (or SGO) services from?
137 providers. This is a mixture of companies and self-employed providers. We do not hold the information on which providers are self employed or a company/organisation.
2. Please provide the number of these providers registered with OFSTED between Between 1st April 2022 and 31st March 2023
The Adoption Support Fund (ASF) portal reports 10 providers were registered with OFSTED.
3. In the year 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2023 have you supported all non-OFSTED registered providers, according to OFSTED standards, as an Adoption Support Service? (I.e. providing supervision, safeguarding, safe recruitment, insurance, indemnity, professional registration checks, DBS checks etc..)
Yes. The majority of providers are registered on our approved provider list. To become approved we check their policies such as safeguarding, DBS and insurance policies.
If we procure a provider who is not on our approved provider list then we do the same checks.
4. Between 1st April 2022 and 31st March 2023 how many organisational providers have you procured adoption support (or SGO) services from?

Devon County Council does not hold this information.
7. Between 1st April 2022 and 31st March 2023, other than procuring adoption services via call-off contracts, what other forms of procurement did you use?
Other than call-offs from our framework / purchasing system of approved provider and the spot purchasing then we do not branch into any other procedure.
8. Between 1st April 2022 and 31st March 2023 did you require your suppliers of adoption support services to be OFSTED registered?
No. Under the requirements of the ASF, a provider who is not OFSTED registered is covered by our OFSTED registration and we complete numerous checks to ensure the quality of the service being delivered.
