Works at Bay View Drive, Teignmouth

“Within Bay View Drive, Teignmouth (TQ14 8NN) there is evidence, in the form of a strip of tarmac approx 15 meters long x 300mm wide, that work was carried out to repair/replace a water pipe. Information from a previous resident confirms this and indicates that this work was carried out in the early 1990s. As by that time Bay View Drive had been adopted by Devon I therefore assume that the persons involved in carrying out this work must have applied to yourselves for permission and/or a temporary road closure order.
Can you please tell me:-
1) Who carried out the work.
2) Who applied for the permission to carry out the work.
3) The reason given for carrying out the work.
4) The date that the work took place.”

Devon County Council does not hold any information in relation to any road closures or Temporary Traffic Order applications relating to these works, as our records do not go back that far.  We have checked both our StreetWise and current traffic database for any Temporary Traffic Order applications, and no information has been found.  These systems go back as far as 2007 and 2005 respectively.

Devon County Council is not responsible for this type of planning applications and does not hold, therefore, hold any information in this regard. This is a function provided by District and Unitary councils in Devon, and in this case, Teignbridge District Council.
