1, Does the council have a contract in place to process its waste through energy recovery (energy-from-waste or waste-to-energy) ?
2, If it does does it involve the council building its own EfW plant or does it involve sending waste to a plant not connected to directly to the council?
Devon County Council sends waste to two energy recovery facilities both of which were designed, built, financed and operated by waste contractors either solely for DCC or as a member of a Local Authority partnership .
Devon County Council has entered into contracts with the waste contractors to process waste at the two plants.
3, If the council does not have a contract does it intend to enter into one in the near future?
