OFSTED’s definition of unregistered settings is an illegal placement. This is distinct from what Ofsted define as unregulated provision through short term let arrangements so not illegal or classified as ‘Unregistered’. OFSTED are responsible for identifying unregistered settings and have not notified us of any providers we use or have used in Devon elsewhere being unregistered.
