2. Please provide the procedure for getting care/supported living referrals? These can be in the form of a framework, spot contract and/or advertisement (pro contract, chest, etc.)
Please refer to the published information held on our website – Helping adults to stay living at home, which describes how people’s individual needs are met through initial assessment through to arranging any care package they need. This process remains the same for Supported Living and Residential Care.
3. Please provide the number of approved providers on their Preferred Suppliers List (a preferred supplier’s list is also sometimes referred to as the Framework)
Please see our response to question 1 above.
4. Amount of users under provision
As at 30/06/19:
279 adults aged 18-65 with open Supported Living Agreements
2,504 adults aged 18+ in long term residential care
The above figures only include DCC whole or part funded placements and will not include all the service users under enabling / day care etc that make up their Supported Living Package.
In addition, for Supported Living clients, we can only reliably identify those who have supported living agreements recorded on our electronic social care system, Care First. The figures provided above do not, therefore, represent the full picture.
To locate, extract and retrieve this information we would need to review each of the 13,109 long- term adult social care client files, and even at a conservative estimate of 5 minutes each, the total time required would be well in excess of the 18 hours public authorities are required to spend responding to FOI requests under Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 – ‘Cost of Compliance’.
5. Amount of users under provision by age
As at 30/06/19:
