South West Coast Path at Stoke Fleming

Bearing in mind that the founding document for the brilliant South West Coast Path says that it should be put in place ‘where practicable’, it is irritating to learn recently that yet again, with so many more important matters to deal with and following at least three Enquiries about the footpath at Stoke Fleming, the matter is still not being allowed to rest. I would like to know how much money has been spent on the coastal path in Stoke Fleming in the past ten years, but what I would really like to know is how much money has been spent and is being budgeted to try to change the route of the coastal path at Stoke Fleming, especially if that includes the last effort to change the route.

Devon County Council do not hold this information as the responsibility for the Stage 2 and 3 work relating to the England Coast Path and for this stretch from Cremyll to Kingswear, which obviously includes Stoke Fleming,  is now being undertaken by Natural England.
