Self Funded Care and Brokerage Requirements

1.How does Devon County Council currently supports self-funders with their care brokerage requirements?

Individuals who have sufficient resource to self-fund their care arrangements can contact our customer service centre, telephony assessment centre or they may have direct face to face contact with social care staff.

In these interactions they can raise queries about issues related to care provision or wider issues and receive a response.

The Council has a dedicated website/search engine, called PinPoint where care provision can be found from the local markets. This is the same system our teams use to locate care.

The Council also provides information on its website to cover topics such as paying for care, carers, remaining safe and well.

Where individuals are unable to arrange their services, the Council will support them in the arrangements and where individuals request an assessment of their needs then this service can also be provided.

2.Does Devon County Council have an approved provider list that it shares with self-funders to assist them with sourcing the care and support they require and if so how does an organisation join the approved provider list?

Providers can be found using the Councils PinPoint service. Devon County Council does not operate an approved list of providers.
