Positive COVID-19 test results for 18-22 year olds

The number of students who may have tested positive for coronavirus while at university but were still registered at doctors’ at their home address, inflating the Covid-19 statistics for their home area.

What proportion of positive Covid-19 test results listed for individuals aged 18-22 in your local authority were based on tests taken in a different county or area?  

8.3% (Numerator = number of cases with a testing centre ID outside of Devon, excluding care home tests and home kits; Denominator = number of all cases with a test centre ID excluding care home tests and home kits)

What proportion of positive Covid-19 test results listed for individuals aged 18-22 your local authority did not include data on where the test was taken?  

47% (01 September to 09 December 2020)

During the 01 September and the 09 of December approximately 50% of cases in Exeter (LTLA) were University Students.
