I would like to request the following figures from 29/10/18 to 29/10/19.
1) The number of permanent exclusions issued by schools

2) The number of permanent exclusions issued by schools to pupils with SEN (Special Educational Needs) or with a EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
Permanent exclusions for pupils with an EHCP: 9
Permanent exclusions for pupils with SEN Support: 33
Permanent exclusions for pupils with any SEN, including EHCP, SEN Support: 42
3) Using the figure from SEN and EHCP pupils above, the number of these permanent exclusions which went to the Independent Review Panel.
4) Using the figure from SEN and EHCP pupils above, the number of permanent exclusions quashed by the Independent Review Panel.
Disclosure of the available information in response to questions 3 and 4 would potentially identify the individuals concerned and would therefore lead to a disclosure of their personal data. This would be a breach of the first data protection principle and therefore this information is exempt from disclosure pursuant to s.40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
