Please can you tell me how many school places the local education authority has funded at online schools over the past 10 years. If the school place has been funded because of health criteria please specify the health needs of the pupil.
We do not hold records prior for information to 2015.
We can confirm that Devon County Council that, has funded 162 online packages between 2015 and 30th September 2019. We can also confirm that these places are sometimes provided in addition to other educational provision
Where specific health needs have been identified, a public disclosure of this would risk identifying the pupil and would be unfair to the pupil concerned. This would be a breach of the first data protection principle and a disclosure of this information is therefore exempt pursuant to s.40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Devon County Council has two regular online providers, InterHigh (Wey Ecademy) and TLC Live. A short tutorial package was also authorised as a one-off with ICS Glasgow on one occasion in 2017-2018.
