Non disclosure agreements

Please can you tell me how many non-disclosure agreements the council has agreed in each year over the past 10 years? These are also known as settlement agreements with a non-disclosure clause included
· Please can you also tell me which department of the council ex-employees or employees who signed the NDAs were working for?
· Please can you tell me the financial value of the non-disclosure agreements over the past 10 years?
• Please can you tell me the reason why the agreement was made? If it is not possible to provide this information please just send the rest of the requested information

The relevant information, including :

(i) individual figures per year,

(ii) the reasons for the agreements being agreed where possible; and

(iii) the total amount of financial compensation awarded as part of these agreements for the entirety of this period in £ for the years 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017

has been provided in a previous response.

This response explains how many individual cases we would have to review to identify reasons for non-disclosure agreements, that each one would take a considerable amount of time, and that therefore the information is exempt under the Freedom of information Act 2000 Section 12 – Cost of Compliance.

To identify and collate the information you require for the full ten year period we estimate would also take in excess of the 18 hours specified under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 Section 12 – Cost of compliance. Details of historic non-disclosure agreements older than 2014 are stored in financial years rather than calendar years and held by two different departments and would take between 20 – 25 hours to collate, arrange in calendar years and review to identify the requested information. Therefore, this information is exempt.
