5. Between the 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020 what number of your children in care have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?

In response to questions 1-5, we do not hold a central record of this information.  To obtain this information would therefore require a review of each file concerning every child in care.   This would take in excess of the appropriate limit of time and we are therefore not obliged to provide this information pursuant to s.12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

This has been identified previously in response to a similar request for information, available online at:

Young People in care

By way of advice and assistance, we would therefore recommend that any future requests consider the appropriate limit and the information which can be provided.

6. Does your local authority have a system in place to record, monitor and report on the emotional and mental health of all your children in care?

As above, we do record, monitor and report on the emotional and mental health of all the children in care; but we do not hold a central record of this information.
