GP Surgery Access and Hoist Installation

Request:-

      1. How many of the GP surgeries/ Practises offering GP services within your Local Authority  have step- free access.  In addition, how many practises offering GP services do not have step -free access?

 

      1. In the event that a patient requiring step- free access was to attend a practise that did not offer step- free access, what contingency plan/ reasonable adjustment, if any, is implemented to ensure the patient receives the treatment they require without significant delay and in a reasonable time-frame.

 

      1. How many surgeries and clinics within your Local Authority  offering GP services have a hoist installed (either  mobile or ceiling) to assist a patient transfer from a wheelchair onto a GP’s examination table. How many GP surgeries and buildings offering GP services do not  have a hoist installed?  In the event that a hoist is not available, what reasonable adjustment/adjustments are put in place to ensure the patient can receive treatment without delay?
