We do not have a statutory requirement to record this information so to identify if we held the required information we would have to manually examine over four thousand individual child client records. It is possible that it is mentioned in case notes or referenced as a ‘Factor at Assessment’ (Factor 23A) ‘abuse linked to faith or belief’ but that factor could also include other forms of abuse as well as forced marriage.
As each case would take several minutes to check the total time required would be well over the 18 hours specified under section 12 of the Freedom of information Act 2000 – Cost Of Compliance. Therefore this information is exempt.
