Devon County Council has provided support under s.17 of the Children Act 1989 but we do not maintain a central record of this assistance. To obtain this information would therefore require a manual review of hundreds of cases and even if each one only took ten minutes the time necessary would take longer than 18 hours and is therefore in excess of the appropriate limit.
