Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to know the amount of money the council spent on the services of external law firms and barristers in the last year (year ending March 31 2018).
The Devon County Council spend on external legal services for 2017/18 is as follows:
• Solicitors – £403,895.84
• Counsel (barristers) – £693,920.59
• Other Local Authorities – £11,242.73
• Total – £1,109,059.16
