I am writing to obtain information concerning Mileage Allowance Payments made by the council to its staff (not members) in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 financial years
Please provide:
· The rate paid per mile for cars above 1200cc for casual users in 2015-16 and 2016-17
· The total amount spent on Mileage Allowance Payments to staff in 2015-16 and 2016-17
‘Mileage Allowance Payments (MAPs) are what you pay your employee for using their own vehicle for business journeys.’ (HMRC)
Devon County Council can confirm the following:
– The rate per mile is in line with HMRC AMAP rates, this includes cars, motorcycles, bicycles and passenger payments. Further information is available online at:
