1 Please confirm the location of all areas of land owned or controlled by the Council where Japanese Knotweed is known to exist.
2 Please confirm the location of all areas of land owned or controlled by the Council where Japanese Knotweed has been located, and there is a future removal plan. In addition please confirm the projected dates when the removal plan will be implemented.
3 Please confirm the location of all areas of land owned or controlled by the Council where Japanese Knotweed has been located and is currently being treated.

6 Please list full details as to any complaints made persons who were dissatisfied by the Council’s failure to remove Japanese Knotweed which is creating a private nuisance by encroaching on their property.

Three complaints have been received which referred to Japanese Knotweed.

Two of these were regarding flytipping debris and mud and it was believed that Japanese Knotweed was present

The third complaint was about  Japanese Knotweed not being removed properly.

7 Please confirm in respect of any legal complaints and/or legal actions relating to Japanese Knotweed, how many of them were settled.
8 Please confirm in respect of any legal complaints and/or legal actions relating to Japanese Knotweed, how many of them went to trial. In addition, please confirm how many cases were won, and how many were lost.

Beyond our response to question 6 we have interpreted these questions to refer to actions for compensation.  Devon County Council have received no claims for compensation relating to Japanese Knotweed.
