Traffic camera signs are of two sizes – 60×42 CM or 42×30 CM. The second dimension is the height. Traffic camera locations are published online.
The CCTV signs in County Hall Reception measure 29.50cm X 42cm and conform to the requirements of the Information Commission Office (ICO) Code of Practice for surveillance cameras and personal information.
The signs at Stover Country Park are 6 x 8 inches.
Sign dimensions at Recycling centres are not held.
Also, can you confirm if signs have been approved by ICO.
We do not hold any information about CCTV signs requiring approval by the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), that may have been the responsibility of the Office of Surveillance Commissioners, now the Investigatory Powers Commissioners Office (IPCO).
CCTV signs put in place by Devon County Council are subject to recommendations from our Data Protection Officer to reflect Data Protection legislation and those at County Hall have referenced Information Commissioner Officer (ICO) guidelines.
