Highweek Community Primary School:-

A report, generating information held on the asbestos register showing the asbestos records held for Highweek Primary School from 1994 to 2003 is provided.  Where the records show the word ‘removed’, we believe this to indicate that asbestos content had been identified and was removed from the site.

Following the introduction of the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002, and particularly Regulation 4, which introduced a new ‘duty to manage’ for all non-domestic premises, Devon County Council (DCC) undertook a programme of surveying what was then type 2 asbestos surveys of all its premises. Those surveys took place between 2003 and 2005. The survey at Highweek Primary took place in 2005 and forms the basis of the current asbestos register provided. You will see the register contains a history of additional surveys and indicates any asbestos removals since the start of the register in 2005.
