I made an application for an in-year admission for my Daughter to go into present year 3 at Shaldon Primary School which would be year 4 in September 2017. I understand that a place has recently been allocated to another child. I make it clear that I am not requesting any details in relation to that child but request the date of any application or applications received in respect of any children allocated a place at Shaldon Primary School in the last 6 weeks
Devon County Council does hold this information however, due to the low numbers, we believe that disclosure of this information could identify children and therefore constitute a breach of the first principle of the Data Protection Act 1998. For this reason, we feel this information is exempt from disclosure by virtue of the exemption at Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
