There was 4890 Safeguarding Concerns started between 1st February 2020 and 30th November 2020 (inclusive)

2. Number of adult safeguarding enquiries commenced under section 42 of the Care Act 2014.

There was 949 Safeguarding Enquiries started between 1st February 2020 and 30th November (inclusive)

3. In respect of adult safeguarding enquiries commenced under section 42 of the Care Act 2014, please provide:
a. Whether the adult at risk was a new referral, or already known to social care services.

Of the 949 Section 42 enquiries started between 1st February 2020 and 30th November (inclusive) 493 clients were not known to Devon County Council ie did not have an active service at the time of the enquiry (this is a unique client count not a form count)
