The County Council has applied for the following Government funds:
Transforming Cities Fund
Local Growth Fund
Access Fund
Reopening High Streets Safely Fund and Towns Fund were primarily targeted at lower tier authorities within Devon

If so, confirm whether you have been successful in accessing funds and how much has been awarded?

Transforming Cities Fund

The County Council bid for the following projects:

Project Bid-DfT.* Local Match Total
Marsh Barton Station £6.8m £8.2m £15m
Exe Bridges Bus Priority £1.5m £1.0m £2.5m
Exeter Bus Station £4.7m £4.0m £8.7m
Total £13.0 £13.2m £26.2

*DfT – Department for Transport

The bid was unsuccessful. The purpose of the fund was to support the largest city regions with workday populations above 200,000 people and so Exeter with a significantly lower workday population was possibly not the intended target for the fund.
