Does the Council policy for inspecting and repairing roads the same as the national policy? If not, please describe the specific differences between national policy and Council policy.
Devon County Council has formally adopted parts of the new Highways Code of Practice which became fully effective in October 2018.
This contains over one hundred specific recommendations and some the Council follows in full and some in part, with local variations to the practices recommended according to the particular circumstance in Devon.
Please provide a link or copy of the Council’s approved inspection policy, priorities and highway maintenance document.”
