Collection of Council Tax and traffic fines

Under the Freedom of Information Act, please can you supply the following information :

* The names of the bailiffs you contract to collect council tax and traffic fines

Prior to 2015 we do not hold this information.

Between 2015 – 2018 we contracted Rossendales.

Since 2018 we have contracted Jacobs Enforcement Ltd

Since 2015, we have also contracted Ross & Roberts

 

* The number of council tax warrants issued per year to each bailiff, from 2010 – 2018

* The recovery rate for warrants within council tax from 2010 ‘ 2018 (i.e. # of cases paid versus # of cases returned as uncollectable)

Prior to 2014 we do not hold this information. Subsequent to this, we hold this information on the basis of each financial year:

2014/2015: 7067
2015/2016: 7223
2016/2017: 5651
2017/2018: 6100

* The recovery rate for warrants within traffic penalties from 2010 ‘ 2018 (i.e. # of cases paid versus # of cases returned as uncollectable)

Prior to 2014 we do not hold this information. Subsequent to this, we hold this information on the basis of each financial year:

2014/2015: 34%
2015/2016: 21%
2016/2017: 28%
2017/2018: 18%
