The Healthy Child Programme is co-ordinated and delivered in Devon by the integrated Public Health Nursing Team encompassing health visitors and school nurses.

Public Health Nursing is commissioned (paid for) by Public Health Devon and since 2019 has been delivered by children’s services within Devon County Council. There is no contract in place as the service is delivered through a dedicated team within the Authority.

Funding is agreed annually and the budget is published in the County Council’s Budget Book (Budgets and expenditure | Devon County Council).

Delivery of the Healthy Child Programme is supported by three public facing websites (Health for Under 5’s, Health for Kids and Health for Teens) as part of the Public Health Nursing offer – the websites are procured by Leicester Partnership NHS Trust. We therefore hold no further information.

Devon is not one of the areas selected for delivery of the Family Nurse Partnership. We therefore hold no information.

Inoculations are commissioned by NHS England and special school nursing is commissioned by NHS Devon Integrated Care Board.   We therefore hold no information.

The commissioning lead within the Authority for public health nursing is Dominic Hudson, Head of Commissioning for Public Health.
