Localism Act 2011 Independent persons
1. Who are they?
The Council has recently received a resignation from one of the previously appointed Independent Persons. Mr Brooking is therefore the only appointed Independent Person, pending a recruitment exercise.
2. What fees are they paid?
£500 per year.
3. What is the average frequency of their reporting?
Between 1 and 2 times per month. This could be more frequent if a complaint is complex or is moved towards a full investigation. The frequency depends on the number of complaints received.
4. What area in Devon do they reside in?
South Hams.
